As a sales & marketing mentee, you are going to be immersed in the best practices of the field. Not sure yet if you want a career in sales or marketing (they are NOT the same!!), no problem. In the first year of your mentorship program, you will be exposed to both and then given the opportunity to choose the path most suited to you.
Choose the marketing career path and your are going to be taught to be an expert in the world of online marketing & social media; including search marketing strategies, search engine optimization, how to use webinars to educated and create demand, copywriting, website optimization, and more.
Choose the sales path and you are going to be taught how to prospect and conduct world class sales presentations for senior executives and business owners. You'll also learn how to effectively build rapport, overcome objections, negotiate, generate referrals, and ultimately win the business and earn big money in the process.
First Year Activities
As a member of the sales and marketing team, responsibilities will include all activities related to lead generation and lead qualification.
Our prospective buyers are typically CEOs, CFOs, and Operation Managers of companies with 20-200 employees. The successful candidate enjoys engaging prospective clients and building a long-term relationship through multiple points of communication. The successful candidate will excel at finding and qualifying prospective clients for our sales team by making calls to both our house database and purchased lists.
First Year Primary Responsibilities:
The primary job function will be to generate qualified sales prospects through the following activities:
Outbound lead qualification calls
Book appointments for sales team
Researching prospective clients via the Internet
Follow up with qualified leads in a consistent manner
Track activities in our CRM database
Work in a team environment
Second Year (and beyond) Activities: Once you've proven that you have the talent needed to move up, your second year will see you being groomed in either marketing or sales.
Should you choose the marketing path you can expect to have your creative genius tasked to the maximum. Excel and the whole company will applaud your results and cheer you on for more.
Choose the sales path and you can expect to be groomed to spend the majority of your time out of the office seeing prospective customers and winning new accounts. Excel in the sales path and you will be among the highest earners in the entire company with a low to mid six-figure income.
Year One Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary of $35,000 plus commissions, bonuses, and profit sharing
(up to $70K total for top performers)
